In announcing the referendum that will take place later this yer or possibly next, the President reminded the people they voted for him on the platform of change and he is bent on delivering on his promise.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The VATICAN ENQUIRER – Following Brexit, Costa Ricans will soon go to the polls to decide if they want to continue to be part of Central America. The “to split” decision stems from the feeling like they are stuck, that their lives are not getting any better, that they have to keep working harder and harder to make ends meet, and the politicians not doing anything to help them.<\/p>\n

They are told to “vote for change! You have nowhere to go but up! Change will make your life better!”<\/p>\n

If the “leave” vote wins, Costa Rica would be become independent from Central America, crossing borders would require visas.\u00a0 If the “stay” vote wins, the country would continue to be independent, but forced to be nice with its regional neighbours.<\/p>\n

The separatist movement has the support of all parties. One party is also calling for the building of a wall in the north with Nicaragua and south with Panama. The wall, actually a fence, would be topped with razor wire. In areas were a cement wall can be build, it would be topped off with broken glass. Another party is proposing two canals be built to cut off the country on the north and the south and truly become an island nation.<\/p>\n
